HSBC is hiring for the role of Portfolio Management/ Business Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Supporting preparation, review, and presentation of portfolio-level status reporting for key programmes.
  • Working closely with other PMOs, TPMs, Service Line leads, and Vendor Manager.
  • Preparing milestone reports and reports for various governance forums.
  • Supporting the Annual Operating Planning cycle, tracking finances (budgets, forecasts, actuals, latest estimates, and variances monthly).
  • Implementing measures to correct activities outside of plans.
  • Managing permanent and contract recruitment activities across the team, including reporting progress on open roles.
  • Working in close collaboration with IT COO and recruitment teams.
  • Supporting the maintenance of purchase orders and related accruals for 3rd party suppliers.
  • Preparing high-quality, engaging communication and celebrating success materials for the portfolio.
  • Organizing and coordinating logistics and materials for Town Halls and Offsites.
  • Supporting Product Leads and IT Service Owners to remain aligned to HSBC standards, governance, and documentation requirements.
  • Providing miscellaneous portfolio-level support with ad hoc requests.

Requirements:

  • Strong PMO skills in project/programme reporting.
  • Experienced in analyzing financials, preparing status reports, and using associated tools (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong experience in Agile project and programme management (DevOps and/or Agile Certification preferred).
  • Aptitude for problem solving and shaping best practices, methods, tools, and templates.
  • Experience navigating governance and control processes for resource and financial management.
  • Exceptional written and presentation skills with the ability to create high-quality, engaging communications in various formats (written, visual, audio, video).
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactively advancing knowledge of technologies and practices through self-study, hands-on experience, and formal training.
  • Educated to degree level or above.
