Plant Design Engineer Job in Mumbai at Cyient

Cyient is hiring for the position of Plant Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop detailed plant layout and design plans, taking into consideration factors such as equipment placement, workflow optimization, safety, and efficiency
• Create 2D and 3D models using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to visualize and communicate the plant layout
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to select appropriate machinery, equipment, and technology for the plant's needs
• Ensure that equipment meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Analyse existing manufacturing or production processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations
• Design material handling systems to optimize the movement of raw materials, components, and finished products within the plant
• Ensure that material flow minimizes bottlenecks and delays
• Ensure that plant designs comply with environmental regulations and standards related to emissions, waste disposal, and sustainability
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for different design options to help clients make informed decisions about project investments
• Incorporate safety protocols and features into the plant design to minimize accidents and hazards

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering
• Skills in Electrical, Instrument Design, Piping, Structural Design, Structural Engineering
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients, multidisciplinary project teams, and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize plant designs
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers from various disciplines, as well as with clients and contractors
