NVIDIA is hiring for the role of Physical Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Lead all block/chip level physical design (PD) activities (floor plans, abstract views, RC extraction, PNR, STA, EM, IR drop, DRCs, schematic-to-layout verification).
• Collaborate with design team to address design challenges.
• Debug tool/design issues and proactively optimize RTL2GDS flow for PPA improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex design issues and implement solutions.
• Own all aspects of physical design and implementation for GPUs and ASICs (desktop, laptop, workstation,

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of physical design experience.
• Strong understanding of RTL2GDSII flow and leading process technologies.
• Expertise in high-frequency design methodologies.
• Experience with block-level and full-chip floor planning and physical verification.
• Proficient in ICC2/Innovus, Primetime/Tempus, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of standard place & route flows (ICC2/Synopsys, Innovus/Cadence).
• Skillful in timing constraints, STA, and timing closure.
• Good automation skills in PERL, TCL, or tool-specific scripting.
• Excellent multi-tasking and global collaboration abilities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Perl, Tcl, and Make scripting (preferred).
