Payment Operations Analyst Job in Bangalore at GIIFT

Giift is hiring for the role of Payment Operations Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Handle International payment gateways, chargebacks, payment frauds, security, etc.
• Develop and Review/reconcile payment gateway reports.  
• Analyze data from multiple angles, looking for trends that highlight areas of concern or opportunities.
• Use commercial tools and payment interfaces to create, track, or repair payment transactions.   
• React swiftly to issues that may arise, summarize facts, and provide recommendations for timely resolution of critical (real money) issues.  

Requirements: 

• 2-5 years of experience in financial operations or the Payments Industry; preferably with a high-growth technology company with a background in incident and problem management
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Core payments experience with infrastructure, tools, systems, and data
• Previous experience in the payments space - Banking, Online payments, and payment gateways (domestic and international) is essential
• Deep understanding of how money moves between merchant platforms and payment and fraud (chargeback, KYC tools, fraud prevention) processing partners, including payment gateways, processors, acquirers, card networks, and issuers
• Previous experience in reporting and working with data analytics at decision-making levels is required
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• A process-oriented mindset to think critically in a fast-paced environment with a driven attitude to improving standards
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• A proficiency in SQL, Google Suite, Jira, Tableau, and Macbook is preferred
• Demonstrated experience with large-volume payment setup, initiation, and reconciliation
• Monitor the payment flows and follow up on any discrepancies
