Adani Group is hiring for the role of Overman!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Takeover the shift charge from the previous overman, noting the details of Operations, Safety, Equipment, and manpower details
• Inspect roof & sides, taking actions to secure them as per the approved SSR for improving ground stability
• Develop drilling & blasting schedules and take all safety precautions before & after blasting operations
• Ensure roadways safety by securing roof and sides strata as per SSR
• Monitor dust levels in the mine and take dust control measures
• Ensure no overcrowding of men & machinery and safe operations
• Maintain Operations, Safety, Equipment, and manpower records in the shift as per statute & DGMS guidelines
• Identify risks and ensure timely risk management to avoid accidents
• Ensure adequate ventilation and monitor mine environment gases using gas detectors
• Give prompt attention to the removal of any danger observed or reported
• Rescue operations and report incidents/accidents to the shift in-charge and control room

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mining Engineering with valid Overman’s certificate
• 2-5 years (at least 2 years experience in UG coal mining)
