PTC is hiring for the role of Oracle Database Administrator!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software.
• Create and maintain database instances.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backup and recovery, tablespace management, and index optimization.
• Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal query execution and system efficiency.
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control, role assignments, and data encryption.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
• Test and verify database backups regularly.
• Apply patches, updates, and version upgrades as necessary to keep the database environment current and secure.
• Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schemas.
• Assist with SQL query tuning and optimization.
• Implement and maintain high availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor database performance and health using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Generate and analyze performance and usage reports.
