Deloitte is hiring for the role of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, manage, and optimize OCI cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and database services
• Provision, configure, and monitor Oracle Cloud services such as Autonomous DB, DB Systems, Object Storage, VCNs, and Load Balancers
• Implement OCI-native security best practices including compartments, IAM policies, and encryption
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or OCI CLI
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases in cloud and hybrid environments
• Perform backup/recovery operations using RMAN, Data Pump, and Oracle Recovery Manager
• Monitor and tune Oracle database performance including memory, I/O, and SQL tuning
• Manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setups using RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate
• Patch databases and perform regular maintenance and health checks
• Automate database provisioning and deployment pipelines using scripting (Shell, Python) and CI/CD tools
• Develop and manage monitoring/alerting systems for proactive issue resolution
• Implement database security: user management, auditing, encryption, and access controls
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Architects, Application Developers, and Security teams
• Document architecture designs, SOPs, and change management procedures
• Mentor junior team members and support on-call rotations as needed

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Database Administration
• Knowledge of OCI services: Autonomous DB, DB Systems, Object Storage, VCNs, Load Balancers
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database HA/DR configurations (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate)
• Expertise in backup/recovery, performance tuning, patching, and maintenance of Oracle databases
• Scripting and automation experience (Terraform, OCI CLI, Shell, Python)
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices, access controls, and compliance regulations
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work in hybrid work model with occasional client travel
