RM Education Solutions India is hiring for the role of Operations Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Troubleshoot the server alerts generated by the remote monitoring tool installed in various school servers (UK).
• Serve as the first point of escalation for the team, providing guidance, support, and expertise when issues arise that the team is unable to resolve.
• Identify the root cause of issues logged, troubleshoot them to determine the best course of action, and apply appropriate resolutions to avoid recurrence.
• Analyze server logs and other data to identify trends and potential problems, working with the team to implement solutions.
• Develop and implement problem management processes and procedures, including incident recording and tracking, problem analysis, problem resolution, and problem reporting.
• Troubleshoot server unavailability incidents logged by the team, resolve issues and work with other teams to ensure servers are up and running as soon as possible to prevent future downtime.
• Ensure that server backups are performed regularly and are reliable, monitoring backup logs to confirm success and troubleshooting any issues.
• Monitor drive space usage on servers to ensure there is enough space available for server operations.
• Handle drive expansion requests of virtual servers in both VMWare and Hyper-V environments.
• Ensure that antivirus software is up-to-date and functioning properly on servers, and troubleshoot antivirus-related issues.
• Ensure that servers are up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
• Manage the server reboot process, ensuring that servers are rebooted in a controlled manner to minimize downtime and prevent data loss.
