Solugenix is hiring for the role of NoSQL DBA!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• 24/7 Support handling L1 & L2 tickets
• Installed and configured multi-nodes fully distributed Cassandra cluster.
• Involved in Cassandra Cluster environment administration that includes adding and removing cluster nodes, cluster capacity planning, performance tuning, cluster Monitoring, Troubleshooting
• Responsible for managing data coming from different sources.
• Involved in Backing up and Restoring data.
• Analyse Client Systems and Gather requirements.
• Design technical solutions based on the Client needs and systems architecture
• Configured Fair Scheduler to provide service-level agreements for multiple users of a cluster.
• Managing nodes on Cassandra cluster connectivity and security.
• Involved in writing Java API's for interacting with Cassandra.
• Used Cassandra as the data storage
• Supporting as a Couchbase/ PostgreSQL Database Administrator for Cloud and AWS servers
• Performing DB administration tasks such as Node specific, Couchbase installation and configuration, Backup and Restore, Views query writing in Couchbase
• Performing DB administration tasks such as PostgreSQL logical database server administration, Database HBA configuration (User & Schema Maintenance), Replication setup, Backup and restore, and L1/L2 administration in PostgreSQL
• Monitoring DB Performance and DB tuning
• Providing OnCall support on weekends for all the database technologies which are mandatory
• Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude as demonstrated by receiving employee of the month in two consecutive quarters

Requirements:

• Good Knowledge of Backing up and Restoring data (Taking Snapshots, Deleting Snapshots, Enabling Incremental backups, Restoring from Snapshots)
• DBA experience
• Cassandra DB (DSE Cassandra )
• Couchbase DB
• Postgre SQL DB
• DevOps tools (Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Capacity Planning, Power Shell, Shell scripting
• Involving in Patching activities
• Involving in the upgrading of Databases
• Automating DBA tasks using any one of the scripting languages
• Education & Certifications: BE/ BTech / BSC / MCA
