Airbus is hiring for the role of  NonLinear Structural Analysis Engineer - Advanced Numerical Simulations!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Get a comprehensive understanding of Airbu's best practices, methods, processes, tools, and framework in the Structural Analysis domain, with a specific focus on Nonlinear Static and Dynamic (Crash/Impact) finite element analysis and assessing the mechanical behavior of metallic and composite structures.
• Perform FEA (finite element analysis) involving CAD data extraction, meshing, loading, boundary conditions, verification and validation of Nonlinear FE models, and interpretation of the results in accordance with time, cost, and quality.
• Understand Nonlinear modeling principles for metallic and composite structures, design criteria, and failure mechanisms.
• Demonstrate the Aircraft Structure’s strength for static and dynamic loads.
• Propose design solutions driven through numerical analysis to meet the requirements.
• Automate recurrent modeling and analysis tasks to reduce the lead time.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of finite element methods and nonlinear structural mechanics.
• Proficient in commercial finite element software packages (e.g., Abaqus, ANSYS).
• Excellent programming skills in Python or a similar language.
• Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
