New Product Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical) Job in Bangalore at UST Global

UST Global is hiring for the role of New Product Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Coordinate the release of new products or product improvements, owning the Module/Product on the PLC/CIP Program.
• Create manufacturing strategies and sequences.
• Verify schematics (E3S) and BOM compatibility.
• Proliferate E3S to new areas of engagement.
• Capture and resolve systemic issues with the E3S software team.
• Perform 3D DMU/virtual builds on electrical parts.
• Support New Product documentation by OMS creation for NPI/CIP builds.
• Launch, release, approve, and implement items/changes for design engineering and floor support.
• Interface between operations, design engineering, and global product management to address supplier problems, waivers, and build issues.
• Participate in new product builds and champion issue resolution; perform root cause analysis for issues during assembly/test.
• Recommend tooling, testing, and process improvements using DFx principles to reduce costs and improve product quality.
• Own SMBOM release to support phase exits.
• Process non-standard BOM requests for systems and NSO.
• Create and maintain master layout.
• Perform controlled builds and engage with manufacturing teams to transition from NPI to volume manufacturing.
• Evaluate work methods, procedures, and policies.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of new business processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering discipline, theories, practices, and principles.
• Knowledge of engineering processes, DFx principles, product development process, value engineering, product structure, bill of materials, and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with electrical and electronics standards, especially for E cabinets and cable harnesses.
• Understanding of safety standards.
• Strong skills in product technology, problem-solving, communication, customer orientation, team collaboration, and quality.
• Knowledge of tools such as E3S Panel, E3S Fluid, P Cad, CAD tools (Creo & PDM), SAP, TcE, Core+.
• Proficiency in systems and software like Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and flowcharting.
