Hewlett-Packard is hiring for the job role of Networking QA Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Create comprehensive and well-structured System Stress and Solution Test plans and test cases for Switching platform products
• Perform thorough Solution and System Testing for L3 Protocols and Features
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track defects
• Collaborate with internal teams (Development, Engineering Support Teams) in troubleshooting issues observed during internal testing and end-user deployments
• Participate in fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative engineering practices
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Team player – highly motivated to drive things technically

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics & Communication or equivalent.
• Typically 3-5 years of experience.
• Networking certifications would be a plus.
• Have Good Networking domain knowledge on Ethernet switching, Layer 2, and Layer 3 Networking Protocols, Data Centre Technologies, and Network Operating Systems.
• Should have hands-on experience and expertise in testing Unicast and Multicast Routing Protocols (OSPFv2/v3, BGP, ARP, IPV6, PIM-SM/PIM-SSM, IGMP/MLD, MSDP, IPv6 etc.).
• Should have hands-on experience and expertise in testing network resiliency/redundancy solutions (MCLAG, VRRP, BFD, etc.).
• Experience in DC Technologies like EVPN, vPC, and VxLAN would be an added advantage.
• Experience in interop testing with Firewalls, Gateways, and controllers would be an added advantage.
• Good troubleshooting skills in a complex L2 & L3 Network solution environment.
• Proven experience in software test methodologies, tools, and processes -IxNetwork, Spirent Test Centre, IxLoad, Python, etc.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive Systems Test plans and Stress and performance test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
