Google Inc. is hiring for the role of Network Operations Engineer - Global Network Operations!
Responsibilities of the Candidates:
- Plan, design, and executing turn-up of optical systems.
- Lead optical deployments to manage capacity delivery on the existing network.
- Be a technical expert for the new product introduction program.
- Respond to network outages by providing a diagnosis of Layer 1 to Layer 3 network errors, and initiate and complete network repairs.
- Use workflows and systems to diagnose optical Layer 1 and Layer 3 network issues to completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in networking technologies.
- Experience with fiber types and their application, physical fiber characteristics, and standard testing tools (e.g., OSA, BERT, OTDR).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
