Google is hiring for Network Implementation Engineer - Data Center Networking Delivery

Responsibilities:

• Own and serve as point of contact for Network Capacity Delivery team responsible for the execution, implementation of network build, operations and maintenance across data centers, point-of-presence (POP) and colocations.
• Work with Core, Transport and Edge teams to translate common network solutions into standard and scalable BOMs and detailed design packages for select internal or third-parties to execute across multiple sites simultaneously providing technical support.
• Work closely with project management, network engineering, partner teams to identify in advance potential problems in network installations, troubleshoot capacity workflows for edge network devices in new and existing network nodes across Google's global network.
• Support Design teams, Deployment teams, Peering Negotiators, and Planners as needed to deliver connectivity to the Google network.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology, working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.
• Experience with bill of materials (BOMs), Deployment Package (DPK) device management and complete workflows, identifying network issues, and assisting in determining appropriate solutions.
• Experience in a data center or PoP environment, OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls relay rack/cabinet/cage construction
