Network Engineer Job in Bangalore at Cisco

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance
• Define and enforce network security policies
• Identify opportunities for network improvement and automation
• Plan and coordinate network technology implementations and upgrades
• Perform complex network and automation problem analysis and diagnosis
• Generate operational documentation and test plans
• Assist with the deployment and strategy of network management tools
• Develop and maintain network management tools and procedures
• Ensure minimal service impact during network changes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or 9+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and networking protocols
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus routers, ACI, ASA firewalls, and FirePower NGFWs
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VRF, VDC, Linux, VMware, OpenStack)
• Knowledge of software development and network automation (Python, REST APIs, Ansible)
• Proficiency in Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile methodology and CI/CD
• Experience with Global and Local load balancers (Preferred)
• Expertise in Enterprise & Data Center networking technologies (Preferred)
• Expertise in the latest Cisco hardware and operating systems (Preferred)
• Large-scale network infrastructure support skills (Preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of network management, availability, and automation (Preferred)
• Basic knowledge of Git and REST API (Preferred)
• Expertise in Network Automation, Software Development, and CI/CD Pipelines (Preferred)
• Expert-level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment (Preferred)
• CCNP / CCIE certifications (Desirable)
