National Head – Recovery Job in Mumbai at Flexiloans

What you will work on:

• Lead and manage nationwide recovery operations across all delinquency buckets, including hard bucket and written-off accounts. 
• Develop and execute national recovery strategies aligned with portfolio risk, geography, and customer segments. 
• Monitor portfolio health through analytics, dashboards, and MIS to drive performance and decision-making. 
• Oversee allocation strategies for agencies and in-house team and ensure optimal coverage and productivity. 
• Drive agency performance through onboarding, training, governance, audits, and performance reviews. 
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory norms, legal guidelines, and ethical collection practices. 
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to design recovery frameworks and resolution strategies. 
• Identify portfolio stress areas and implement corrective recovery initiatives. 
• Optimize recovery costs while maximizing resolution and settlement efficiency. 
• Build scalable processes, automation frameworks, and technology-led recovery models. 

The ideal candidate:

• Strong strategic and operational expertise in NPA and stressed asset management. 
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities. 
• Deep understanding of unsecured lending and recovery lifecycle. 
• Proven experience managing large portfolios across multiple geographies in India. 
• Extensive experience managing multiple agencies and legal recovery channels. 
• Thorough knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks governing collections and recoveries. 

Qualification and Experience:

• 12–18+ years of experience in Collections/Recoveries/NPA management with Banks, NBFCs, or Fintechs. 
• Must have handled large-scale NPA portfolios across multiple regions in India. 
• Strong exposure to hard bucket recovery and legal recovery processes. 
• Experience in building and scaling national recovery operations is highly preferred. 
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline. 

Key Criteria:

• Must have experience managing unsecured loan (BL/PL) recovery pools at the zonal or national portfolio level.
• Proven track record of managing a high volume of recovery cases.
• Experience managing both agency and in-house teams.
