Monitoring and Support Engineer – Apprentice Job in Bangalore at Trellix

Trellix is hiring for the role of Engineer-apprentice!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• System Monitoring – Continuously monitor the performance of servers, networks, and applications using monitoring tools.
• Detect, and escalate alerts for abnormal system behavior or outages.
• Maintain and configure monitoring solutions to track system health and performance metrics.
• Respond to incidents and system alerts in real-time ensuring timely issue resolution within defined SLA.
• Provide First/Second level support for reported issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Coordinate vendor activities as necessary to resolve incidents in the global Infra/Data environment.
• Handle service requests, ensuring timely resolution according to defined SLAs.
• Work closely with other T3 teams and development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements:

• Technical Knowledge
• Understanding of system monitoring tools Such as PagerDuty, Solarwinds, Site24/7
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like SymphonySummit, Jira
• Knowledge of cloud services AWS, GCP
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Network devices switches, routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and Operating systems like Windows and Linux.
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
• Works well in a team environment and can collaborate with cross-functional teams
