Eaton is hiring for the role of Modeling and Simulation Structures Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Evaluates the structural static and dynamic performance of products/subsystems/systems for various Eaton Mobility product lines. The incumbent is expected to perform Structural analysis of various Eaton products for predicting product performance. The incumbent is also required to partner with global & local teams, understand the design intent, and develop and validate analysis models to substantiate the engineering designs
• Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements
• Understands project requirements and solve problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders
• Participates in the development of simulation modelling methodologies in the Structural domain
• Deploys developed simulation methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen the “Analysis First” strategy
• Coordinates with stakeholders to develop Structural mechanics/Dynamics analysis requirements for a wide range of Eaton products
• Interprets summarizes and communicates FEA analysis results to a global audience and provides technical and/or design recommendations
• Contributes to the maturing analysis capability of the Structural technology domain
• Develops a test plan wherever necessary to verify the FEA model and validate the analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes​​​​​​​

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Ocean Engineering from a reputed institute with Design/Structures as a specialization
• 0-2 years of experience
• Thorough knowledge of Structural Mechanics, Structural Dynamics & FEA theoretical fundamentals with ability to perform hand calculation, results interpretation and test data correlation with simulation
• Good communication skills, Effective collaboration with team members, and problem-solving ability
