Vance is hiring for the role of Mobile SDET!

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Influence the testing vertical by driving novel QA processes, including substantial manual testing responsibilities.
• Pioneer the adoption of new tools, techniques, and strategies to maximize test efficiency.
• Own the complete test life cycle, including the development of scalable and robust automation frameworks.
• Actively participate in product & design reviews, providing invaluable feedback on features and usability.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of dedicated SDET experience, including hands-on manual testing.
• Strong background in mobile testing for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Proven experience in creating both short-term and long-term test strategies and plans.
• Must be adept at writing detailed test cases, including functional and non-functional, covering all edge cases.
• Proficiency in debugging using tools like Charlesproxy, Fiddler, Xcode, or Android Studio.
• Good experience with git commands and version control.
• Takes full responsibility for end-to-end feature releases.
• Must have created Mobile Automation frameworks from scratch using Java and Appium.
• Hands-on experience with emulators, simulators, or third-party tools like BrowserStack, pCloudy, AWS Device Hub.
• Familiarity in Java with a good base in object-oriented design and data structures.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Linear, Jira, ClickUp, RallyDev, or Fogbugz.
• Basic experience in SQL queries.
• Experience in web application automation like Selenium, WebDriver, Cypress with Javascript, or other tools.
• Experience in Backend API testing using RestAssured framework with TestNg and Maven/Gradle.
• Experience and knowledge in the Financial Services domain is a major plus.
• Familiarity with Docker and AWS is an added advantage.
• Experience with Jenkins or similar continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
