Expedia is hiring for the role of Mobile Engineer II, iOS!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Engage in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from concept and requirement gathering to design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and enhance iOS applications using Swift, ensuring modular and scalable design architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, contributing to code reviews to uphold high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with a global team of developers to solve complex challenges and improve technical knowledge through peer reviews.
• Continuously seek process improvements and adopt innovative technologies to enhance development practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize code performance, addressing issues like frame rate drops, memory leaks, and other performance metrics.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in developing iOS applications.
• Proficiency in Swift, with hands-on experience using Xcode and related iOS development tools.
• Familiarity with mobile design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, MVP).
• Experience with version control tools, especially Git.
• Skilled in writing unit tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Knowledge of SwiftUI and Combine frameworks is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Apple’s design principles and user interface guidelines for mobile apps.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on creating innovative and effective solutions.
• Passionate about producing well-structured, maintainable code with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly within a team.
• Eagerness to explore and adopt new technologies to enhance existing systems.
