Athenahealth is hiring for the role of Member of Technical Staff!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop, debug, and deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions
• Create clear and detailed technical design documentation for assigned projects
• Conduct and participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and data services
• Implement features with a strong understanding of web technologies and relational databases
• Follow coding standards and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
• Troubleshoot issues in Unix/Linux environments and assist in production support
• Participate in technical discussions and planning sessions
• Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to the role
• Help mentor junior team members through code reviews and collaboration
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver timely solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, or related technical field
• 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience
• Proficient in modern programming languages, notably Java
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and related integration technologies
• Experience with modern UI frameworks is a plus
