Fortive is hiring for the role of Mechanical Engineering Designer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide design and drafting support for component and assembly drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to design products.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new product development.
• Prepare multiple design versions for engineering review.
• Work independently to coordinate and prioritize tasks in collaboration with global counterparts.
• Create drawings for cabinets, project-based system architecture, and electrical schematics.
• Develop drawings and diagrams for electrical wiring.
• Revise drawings to reflect changes and enhancements as part of the ECO process.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in design software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
• Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing techniques for product design.
• Ability to specify technical details such as dimensions, materials, and procedures.
• Experience preparing detailed designs and diagrams for electrical systems and mechanical components.
• Strong organizational and independent working skills to coordinate with global teams.
• Adaptability to manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and updates to designs.
