Mechanical Engineer II Job in Coimbatore at Vontier

Vontier is hiring for the role of Mechanical Engineer II!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop detailed solid models and drawings (considering DFA, DFM, DFS, etc.) by using Creo 3 for the dispenser platform.
• Select and specify materials to satisfy design intent while minimizing costs.
• Apply theoretical knowledge of design and mechanical engineering principles to solutions.
• Apply GD&T and Tolerance stack-ups for designs and use FMEAs.
• Perform Engineering Change Management activities using Windchill and SAP.
• Validate product performance and safety factors using finite element analysis (FEA) for structural analysis.
• Coordinate with the Manufacturing/Operations team for new product introduction and production line support.
• Perform engineering and cross-functional team builds to validate designs.

Requirements:

• Design of components, subsystems & system level.
• Knowledge of Plastic Materials. Injection molding process.
• Knowledge of Sheet Metal components. Stamping and bending process
• Sound knowledge of engineering principles, theory, and practice.
• Hands-on experience in design calculations for structural components.
• Knowledge of GD&T Tolerance Stack up
• Tool Design-Injection Molding & Press Tool Knowledge.
• Creo 3.0 (Solid and surface Modelling, drawing Detailing, Sheet Metal, Piping), Windchill, and SAP
