Hero is hiring for the role of Mechanical Digital Design Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Provide CAE and CFD support through building and simulating state-of-the-art models.
- Manage hardware performance validation and simulation-test correlation activities.
- Support the mechanical design team in creating and optimizing designs.
- Work on innovative methods and research projects to bring future technology to the market.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualification & Experience:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical or Computer Science. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage
- Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficiency in performing FEM-based mechanical simulations (Ansys toolset/workflow preferred)
- Detailed and applied software experience in CAE pre-processors, solvers, and post-processors in a product development environment
- Experience in standalone or coupled analysis of battery systems for structural, thermal, and fluid mechanics
- Sound knowledge of FEA and applied solid mechanics
- MATLAB/Simulink or Python experience for building physics-based 1D models is a plus
- Knowledge of optimization tools and techniques
- Experience in mechanical design and tolerances
- Proficiency in material science and numerical methods. Hands-on with CATIA design tool Capability to analyze the root cause of component failures and perform post-mortem analysis
- Experience in DOE creation and test correlation. Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Vibration, shock and crash simulation experience
- Coupled-physics simulation experience
- Experience in traction battery pack simulation/development is a plus
