Mechanical Design Engineer Job in Bangalore at ABB

ABB is hiring for the role of Mechanical Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Contributing to the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet contractual obligations, adhering to relevant standards, safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
• Ensuring that the Bill of Materials for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material.
• Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged and tested, updating the engineering deliverables as built.
• Using standard processes and tools and assisting in developing new processes and tools for the reuse of technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in detailed designing LV panels like PCC, IMCC, PMCC, PDB etc. according to relevant standards IEC 61439
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures to identify & select enclosure parts to build power enclosure panels.
• Support on designing and developing new type test panels.
• Verification of Engineering drawings, and mechanical BOM with respect to General arrangement drawing.
• Selection of switch gear, busbars & Relay components as per the requirement or applications. Preparation of detailed design drawings ACB / linkwork, busbar interconnection drawing
• Including 3D representations.
• Software -Auto CAD, Solid Works, Creo, MS Office, SAP.
