Propel is hiring for the role of Mechanical Design Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Create or modify 3D models considering working conditions, cost optimisation & manufacturing feasibility.
- Design or packaging of components for standardisation across various vehicle models.
- Pack components considering constraints of vehicle architecture, static and dynamic conditions & homologation standards.
- Maintain VBOM and perform drawing release process.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of truck architecture, its aggregates and experience in Vehicle integration (HCV, CEV, Electric bus & MCV)
- Experience in 3D Modelling, assembly and drafting using the CREO tool
- Knowledge in calculations at the vehicle level like CG calculation, vehicle speed, turning circle diameter calculation etc.
- Good communication skills & willingness to learn new skills
- Good knowledge of GD&T tools, selection of fits etc.
