Wabtec Corporation is hiring for the role of Materials Technical Advisor!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Ensure on-time material fulfillment by coordinating with suppliers and the shop floor.
• Oversee daily line fulfillment and material audit inspections.
• Collaborate with the Master Scheduler, Purchase Leader, and Production Manager to achieve daily fulfillment and "Zero Hour Loss" on the shop floor.
• Implement and maintain Lean Supply Chain practices.
• Resolve MRP and Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order exceptions with IT.
• Establish and optimize MOQ definitions, safety stock levels, and Kanban methodologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis investigations and implement solutions.
• Optimize kit cart management and the receiving dock to identify and resolve material issues.
• Manage Phase In/Phase Out (NPI) processes to minimize obsolete material.
• Provide supply analysis data and implement recommendations.
• Provide fulfillment updates for sourcing reviews.
• Collaborate with the Master Scheduler and Purchasing to implement engineering change processes.
• Handle backflushing, and account alias transactions, and resolve inventory inaccuracies.
• Review non-conforming material and out-of-service ordering.
• Complete item setups and adhere to order management principles.
• Prepare annual and monthly budgets for miscellaneous inventory planned items.
• Manage order processing from order placement to line issuance.
• Optimize line-side material presentation to improve efficiency.
• Manage work orders and forecast job close variance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Material Planning, Sourcing, Materials, or Purchasing Operations.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple shift planning.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong PC and database management skills, including MS Office.
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in all environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
