ABB is hiring for the role of Material Planner!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Segmenting the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy
• Defining inventory policies according to this segmentation Calculating and maintaining in the planning systems and ERPs, inventory parameters, safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time and replenishment strategies
• Collaborating with buyers for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead-time and flexibility
• Working with operations buyers and GBS to align planning of material with call offs and ensuring that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders
• Managing MRP (materials resource planning) exception messages on daily basis. Supporting cycle counting and year-end inventory counting. Conducting financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducts root case analysis when necessary
• Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards and are cost-efficient. Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production
• Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends. Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products

Requirements:

• B.E or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics or Instrumentation engineering from a reputed university
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in material planning with instrumentation products
• Proficiency in Excel and good knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management
• Good familiarity in SAP – production planning control and material management systems
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and address key issues with maximum integrity and professionalism
