Material Availability Analyst Job in Bangalore at Caterpillar Inc.

Caterpillar is hiring for the role of Material Availability Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Plan and direct the material planning and material logistic functions to meet the facility plan objectives and satisfy customer needs.
• Plan, initiate, and maintain a material procurement process that establishes and achieves the least total cost, best quality, and timely delivery for facility material purchases from internal/external suppliers.
• Develop and direct internal/external material flow planning. 
• Implement efficient supplier and interplant material supply plans.
• Meet production and part requirements while optimizing inventory levels, lot sizing, lead times, packaging, and transportation costs.
• Provide direct support to manufacturing operations through managing incoming requirements and scheduling of production work orders.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in any relevant field with purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, or engineering experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of job-related experience.
• Willing to work in all shifts. ( 7:30 to 4:30 pm, 1-10 pm, 3-12 pm).
• In-depth understanding of supply base utilization.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management.
• Ability to use and troubleshoot the MRP, Lognet, and MTS systems.
• Experience in Material Planning is desired.
• Five to seven years of increasing responsible supply chain experience.
• Knowledge and/or experience in material planning/control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations, and transportation or logistics.
