Manager – Manufacturing (Pressure Vessel Division) Job in Yamunanagar at Chander Group

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Engagement:

• Manage and supervise daily manufacturing operations of pressure vessels including welding, fabrication, and assembly.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with engineering drawings, ASME Sections, PED, and other applicable codes and standards.
• Oversee welding processes and quality inspections in line with CSWIP 3.1/3.2.2 requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, planning, procurement, and design departments for smooth project execution.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and cost targets.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure workplace safety in accordance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Lead, train, and mentor shop-floor personnel and junior engineers.
• Prepare and present reports on production efficiency, delays, and improvement actions to senior management.
• Manage third-party inspections and customer audits.

Required Skills:

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or equivalent.
• Valid CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2.2 Certification (Welding Inspector/Senior Welding Inspector).
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in heavy fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of ASME, AWS, PED, NDT, and fabrication inspection procedures.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and production planning tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques and interpretation of NDT results.
• Experience with ERP and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
