Manager - Indirect Tax Job in Hyderabad at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring for the role of Manager - Indirect Tax!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Handling of GST Compliances.
• Compilation of data required to file various GST returns i.e., GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, GSTR 6, GSTR 9, GSTR 9C, ITC-04, etc.
• Handling the Statutory & Internal audits by providing documents, information and statements.
• Handling day to day correspondence with Central and State GST Authorities in respect of their queries, Notices, Orders etc.
• Handling GST Audits by compiling data requested by the Auditors and co-ordination with Auditors in respect of the same.
• Hands on with GST, GST Invoice, Online registration, Filing of GST Returns, Reconciliation, GST Deposit, Preparation of E-Way Bill, etc.
• Verify tax related liabilities with Divisions.
• Represent company in assessment proceedings and Appeals.

Requirements:

• Experience of working with cross-functional teams and good communication skills (written and oral)
• Appropriate liasioning skills to interact with State & Central Government Authorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Significant experience in indirect tax management, preferably within a multinational organization or consulting firm.
• Thorough understanding of indirect tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage and optimize indirect tax processes and systems.
• Experience in providing strategic guidance on indirect tax matters to senior management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities.
• Ability to lead and coordinate the implementation of indirect tax strategies.
• Experience in handling indirect tax audits and disputes.
• Familiarity with technology tools and solutions for indirect tax management.
• Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
• Team management skills, including the ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving compliance and efficiency goals.
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment and evolving tax landscape.
• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in indirect taxation.
