Inc42 Media is hiring for the role of Manager - Events & Partnerships!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Event Strategy & Project Management
  • Oversee the project management of all events, including Branded events, Editorial IPs, and other initiatives.
  • Ensure end-to-end planning, risk management, and cost management while maintaining the quality of production.
  • Align internal stakeholders like marketing, editorial team, BrandLabs, finance, and the leadership team to ensure smooth event planning.
  • Be responsible for end-to-end on-ground execution of events.
  • Manage all aspects of event execution, ensuring that all elements are coordinated seamlessly. This will include various aspects ranging from venue selection, vendor negotiation, vendor management, production setup, food & beverage operations among others.
    
• Event & Sales partnerships:
  • Leverage these events and attend others to generate middle-of-the-funnel leads for the sales team.
  • Build proposals and maintain relationships with partners to ensure a steady flow of sales leads.

Requirements: 

• The successful candidate will have a strong background in event management and partnership development, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Passionate about the event management and partnership ecosystem and familiar with its unique dynamics.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Marketing and Design Sense: Strong understanding of marketing strategies and a keen eye for design to create compelling event materials.
• Quality Checks: Experience in conducting quality checks to ensure all aspects of events and partnerships align with company standards.
• Structured Writing: Proficient in structured writing with the ability to draft concept notes that clearly communicate event objectives and partnership details.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and manage relationships with partners.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the planning or execution of events.
• Budgeting Skills: Experience in managing budgets, including negotiating contracts with vendors and partners.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to convey the company’s vision and values effectively to partners and event attendees.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Innovative mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve processes and deliver exceptional results.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree or an MBA in operations or marketing is a plus).
