Merck is hiring for the role of Manager- ERP Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for ERP modules related to Purchasing (NM PURCHASE) and Sales/ Distribution (ST - SD).
• Ensure purchasing and sales activities (like order creation, approvals, invoicing, and deliveries) run smoothly.
• Manage and optimize workflows for purchase order (PO) creation, approvals, and vendor management.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of sales orders, customer invoicing, and fulfilment activities.
• Differentiate and manage processes related to intercompany transactions versus end-customer sales.
• Work to make purchasing and sales operations faster, more accurate, and easier for users.
• Understand differences in internal company transactions versus customer-facing processes and manage both.
• Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure ERP processes align with business needs.
• Support training and documentation efforts for ERP end-users.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify gaps and recommend enhancements to ERP processes, focusing on automation and efficiency.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and rollouts of new ERP functionality.
• Analyse and interpret large data sets using slicing and dicing techniques to extract actionable business insights, leveraging tools such as Power BI and Excel (including Pivot Tables and Power Query).
• Collaborate with BI teams or utilize in-system analytics tools to develop dashboards, KPIs, and ad-hoc reports.
• Work closely with analytics and finance teams to generate practical dashboards and reports, ensuring data is used effectively to monitor performance and support day-to-day business operations
