Manager - Design Quality (Powertrain) Job in Pune at Bajaj Auto Limited

Bajaj Auto is hiring for the role of Manager - Design Quality (Powertrain)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work closely as part of R&D Engineers for managing the design and quality of Powertrain parts and assemblies with an objective of Zero design changes after the part is in production for 2W,3W, and 4W(Quadricycle)–ICE and EV platforms.
• Ensure timely execution of DVP & its adequacy and DFMEA of systems/parts at the design stage to Implement DFMEA takeaway into design/testing.
• Work closely with Design and development Engineers for New product development – Design/Testing -related issue management and closure.
• Participate in Precise problem definition creation & effective Root cause analysis for quality issues and implementation of countermeasure action.
• Ensure that Design Engineers capture the system learnings and their usage for future new products.
• Preliminary Analysis of the issues and collection the feedback from testing & validation during new product evaluation and ensure that all issues are closed effectively before the start of production.
• Ensure that design review checks are done for every part/subsystem release and that the design is updated if any non-conformance is noticed.
• Ensure the completion of new design guideline documents/review check sheets for new parts/systems.
• Arrange the field quality issues internal meetings and ensure that all field issues on Production models are monitored and design interventions if any are completed and released in time.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M Tech Mechanical Engineering
• Age Limit: Minimum-25 & Maximum-40

Technical Requirements:

• Engine Design and Development Exposure. Especially in 2W and 3W industries
• Basic Knowledge of QC tools such as 7QC stories, why-why analysis, Effective Problem solving, FTA, 8D, etc
• Know-how of DVP and TTP preparation and Validation Testing of parts in vehicles considering function, safety, Durability, environmental aspects, etc
• Know-how of Engine Durability Test standards and exposure to perform post-test observations
• Awareness of  Product lifecycle management systems like Teamcenter
• Awareness of Quality Management principles and methods applied to New Product Development
• Awareness of Electrical systems like ECU and Electronic engine management
• Exposure to Calibration and emission-controlling technology and basic functionality
• Awareness of functionality of Fuel Injection (CNG/LPG/Petrol and Diesel) 
• Sound understanding of Powertrain manufacturing (Machining/Casting/Heat treatment process/Plastic molding/Sheet metal)
• Good understanding of new technologies in the automotive domain in 2W and 3W
• Basic understanding of the CAE, and CFD reports for the PT system
