Genpact is hiring for the role of Manager - Accounting Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Review P&L accounts for errors, omissions, or inconsistencies and report.
• Improve quality by creating control points for recurring errors and checking the effectiveness of these control points.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and cash forecasting statements.
• Support month/quarter end close, prepare reports, and support in audits.
• Recommend and implement controls to mitigate errors.
• Help with small task-based process improvements and ad hoc support requests.
• Share in the daily review and overview of journals posted by the accounts team.
• Help clients and teams in their operational efficiency and balance sheet integrity, reduce time to closely align with regulatory requirements.
• Establish, develop, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and internal and external parties to maximize influence and achieve business objectives.
• Assist in the management of quality and controls (operational controls).
• Provide advice, guidance, and information on quality and controls to support decision-making and improve understanding of the accuracy and consistency of underlying data.
• Coach and develop team members using insights from quality reviews.
• Develop own knowledge of standard procedures and processes.
• Act as a point of reference to guide and advise others to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
• Support others in the team where appropriate to assist in the achievement of their objectives.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/CA Inter/Masters in business administration with post-qualified experience.
• Worked in an outsourced finance model with successful work experience with UK & US clients.
• Track record of delivery/quality in a transformational culture.
• Experience in facilitating and encouraging teamwork and developing people.
• Ability to think strategically with the confidence to challenge and influence.
• Experience in defining and delivering against insurance operations KPIs.
• Able to conduct detailed audits of journals and reconciliations.
• Able to identify reconciliations, journals, and other inaccuracies.
• Strong experience in journals, general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month/quarter end closing, financial analysis & reporting.
• Experience in reviews and quality analysis.
• Conduct root cause analysis and determine actions to mitigate.
• Strong technical and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Quality audits and feedback, strong at motivating and coaching team members at all levels.
