Lithium-ion Battery BMS Integration Engineer Job in Pune at Bajaj Auto Limited

Bajaj Auto is hiring for the role of Lithium-ion Battery BMS Integration Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Define Battery Pack/BMS Requirements, Testing and Validation of Lithium-ion Battery BMS Hardware and Software
• Define Technical Requirements for Li-Ion Battery Pack and BMS development
• Design and implement test cases and procedures to validate BMS functionalities such as Connect/Disconnect, Cell Balancing, SoX, Protection Algorithms, etc
• Conduct system-level validation tests to verify the integration of BMS with battery packs and vehicles
• Develop and maintain test scripts and automated test setups for efficient and repeatable validation processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects to define requirements
• Perform data analysis and interpretation to assess Battery/BMS performance, identify issues, and propose design improvements
• Lead Issue resolution/change management

Requirements:

• Qualifications: B.Tech/M.Tech Electrical/Electronics
• Li-Ion Battery Domain knowhow a must
• Knowledge of different types of lithium-ion cells and chemistries
• Knowledge of different Battery/BMS Architectures
• Knowledge of Regulatory needs applicable to EV and Li-Ion Battery/BMS
• Knowledge of Battery Pack components and hands-on on battery assembly process
• Knowledge of various connector types available for Battery Pack
• Ability to calculate electrical parameters such as busbar cross-section, pack capacity/energy, etc.
• Ensure DFMEA, Design Rules, Work Processes/Documentation
• Experience in creating and maintaining Design Verification Plans
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, MATLAB, and CAPL for test automation and data analysis
• Knowledge of Battery pack testing and applicable battery pack testing standards
• Knowledge of automotive systems, electrical circuits, and CAN communication protocols
• Knowledge of electrical vehicle and interface of battery on vehicle
• Age limit: 35 years
