Xylem is hiring for the role of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Conduct comprehensive life cycle assessments (LCA) for products and processes, including data collection, modeling, and analysis.
  • Ensure all LCA data is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
  • Regularly update LCA databases with new data and revisions.
  • Work closely with product development teams, sustainability experts, and other stakeholders to understand LCA requirements and integrate them into the product development process.
  • Conduct regular audits of LCA data and reports to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues in LCA data.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for LCA processes, including usage guidelines and best practices.
  • Utilize and manage LCA software tools such as SimaPro, One Click LCA, or GaBi for conducting assessments and managing data.
  • Provide training and support to team members on LCA methodologies, data collection, and software tools.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with LCA software tools like SimaPro, One Click LCA, or GaBi.
  • Strong understanding of LCA methodologies and standards, such as ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
  • Knowledge of environmental impact assessment and sustainability metrics.
  • Knowledge of product design and development.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry processes.
  • Adaptability to work with different work cultures and time zones.
  • Full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in conducting life cycle assessments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • 2-4 years of experience in conducting life cycle assessments.
