Siemens is hiring for the role of Lead Research Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Conduct research, design and implement algorithms using machine learning for analysis of data acquired through various diagnostic devices
• Implement algorithms in suitable high-level programming language    
• Translate clinical decisioning solution concepts and algorithms into implementable practical solutions of business relevance
• Advance the state-of-the-art including generating patents and publications in top journals and conferences
• Contribute to the group’s efforts in machine learning and decisioning sciences in the areas of precision diagnostics and personalized healthcare

Requirements:

• Post-graduate degree (Ph.D. is preferred) in Applied Math/Engineering/Sciences with 1 to 2 years experience
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in statistics and mathematics
• Strong understanding of under-the-hood fundamentals of deep learning and other machine learning frameworks
• Demonstrated ability in the application of Machine Learning/AI in real-world industrial settings with large-scale data
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as Keras, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is required
• Ability to write scripts in Python, R, Matlab, C++, or similar high-level programming languages is required
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructures and their tools for machine learning (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is advantageous
• Familiarity with software development best practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and collaborative development environments          
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative, self-directed, and a team player with the ability to take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks
