Guardian is hiring for the role of Lead Engineer - IT (Chennai)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understand the project's vision and requirements and contribute to creating supplemental requirements and low-level technical specifications.
• Estimate tasks and resources required to design, build, and test the code for assigned modules.
• Provide inputs for creating the detailed project schedule and evaluating risks.
• Support the team in project planning activities, resolve issues, and adjust priorities accordingly.
• Ensure assigned project parts are on track with schedules and quality during development and testing.
• Track and report progress for assigned modules and note scope changes.
• Communicate regularly with the team regarding development changes, scheduling, and status updates.
• Participate in project review meetings.
• Create detailed designs (LLD) with alternate solutions and ensure they meet business requirements.
• Review and update designs based on team feedback.
• Develop high-priority and complex system code that adheres to functional specifications and coding standards.
• Use code management tools to avoid versioning issues and ensure system stability.
• Conduct peer reviews and recommend improvements for application code.
• Verify test plans and conditions by attending test design walkthroughs.
• Perform impact analysis and assist with code-level problem solving.
• Review technical documentation for accuracy and usability and document test results.
• Adhere to project processes, best practices, and approved methodologies such as the SDLC cycle.
• Ensure compliance with audits and manage corporate resources responsibly.

Requirements:

• Expertise in AWS, preferably AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
• Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, Security Groups, Route53, Code Deploy, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECS, and EKS.
• Strong expertise in Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with DevOps tools and web application architecture.
• Configuration management using Puppet (preferred) or Ansible.
• Experience with SCM tools like GIT.
• Proficiency in build tools such as Ant and Maven.
• Familiarity with artifact repositories like JFrog Artifactory.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Groovy, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of container management tools like Kubernetes, Docker, AWS ECS, or EKS.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routers, and load balancers.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
