Wabtec Corporation is hiring for the role of Lead Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and develop locomotive control system features and algorithms on real-time embedded systems.
• Carry out embedded software development using object-oriented methodologies, adhering to configuration control and build/release processes.
• Perform product verification and testing of control systems in hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Participate in product conceptual designs and concept trade-off analyses.
• Interact with the locomotive system, sub-systems, and component teams to define and document requirements and interfaces.
• Provide robust designs that meet cost and reliability targets.
• Execute simulation and testing on hardware-in-the-loop setups and conduct locomotive testing to validate designs.
• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles, adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
• Work with cross-functional and global teams to meet project objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electronics, or controls engineering with a background/specialization in real-time control systems, power electronics, communications and networking, electric machines, or hardware design.
• Graduating by December 2022, January 2023, or May/June 2023, with a minimum cumulative 8 CGPA.
• Strong customer focus and ability to understand the value proposition for the customer.
• Ability to engage positively across multiple departments to establish clarity, vision, and mutual trust to achieve business goals.
• Demonstrated program/project management skills working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
