Indigo is hiring for the role of Lead Data Governance!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• To implement and maintain a data governance framework, including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for the management and use of data, ensuring adherence to organizational policy guidelines and regulatory/compliance obligations and protecting sensitive or confidential data.
• To understand/document business requirements in the BI context and develop a methodology to implement policies, guidelines, tools, metrics, and standards for managing metadata.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify and define data domains, develop/implement a data catalogue to ensure consistent, accurate, and complete data documentation.
• Be proactive and on the lookout for opportunities that help enforce required governance, controls, and security across the organization.
• Facilitate Data Governance Stewardship Group meetings to align business functions on data governance initiatives.
• Conduct periodic analysis and research to identify key metrics, benchmarks, and governance templates that enhance data governance and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement data quality and data security controls to ensure that data is accurate, reliable, and secure.
• Develop data-sharing agreements to ensure data availability to those who need it while maintaining data security.
• Develop and implement controls/KPIs to ensure desired data quality and availability.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the data governance framework in the cloud through respective Data Governance tools and recommend improvements as necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a process champion/analyst, preferably in the Airline Domain
• Good understanding of Data Office, DataOPS, and FinOPS
• Familiarity with environments that run large strategic projects/PMO
• Legal understanding, including GDPR, PDPB, and ISO
• A degree in Legal, business administration, finance, IT, or a related field with necessary certifications
• Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into data requirements to deliver high-value outputs
• Superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in both technical and non technical contexts, including the ability to work with people from diverse cultures and nationalities
• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Business-oriented, experience in supporting teams in meeting their goals, good skills, and knowledge of facilitation
