Lead Application Engineer I Job in Bangalore at Johnson Controls (JC)

Johnson Controls is hiring for the role of Lead Application Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Review project inputs and specifications to capture the scope and fully understand project requirements.
• Examine MEP drawings, specifications, and SOPs, and identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors.
• Prepare for and participate in project kick-off/review meetings, addressing technical queries, compliance/deviation logs, and risk logs while recording meeting minutes.
• Adhere to standard estimation processes and guidelines to select the appropriate combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services for optimal budgeting.
• Create bills of materials, selecting sensors, control valves, dampers, airflow stations, controllers, etc.
• Develop Building Automation System (BAS) network architecture.
• Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, and on-time project completion.
• Maintain timesheet compliance by accurately entering and reviewing entries for myself.

Requirements:

• Education: BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including Chilled Water Systems, Cooling Towers, Primary & Secondary pumping systems, Hot Water Systems, and various AHU, FCU, and VAV systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of BMS architecture, including Operator Workstations, Supervisory Controllers, DDC Controllers, Sensors, and Actuators.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other protocols.
• Proficiency in wiring starters, field devices, safety interlocks, and panels.
• Experience in engineering, installing, and commissioning HVAC & BMS systems for infrastructure projects like pharmaceuticals, airports, commercial buildings, and hospitals.
• Expertise in Automation, including PLC programming and SCADA.
• Quick learning ability with a strong problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills
