American Express is hiring for the role of Lead Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Manage rewards accounting & reporting activities and ensuring integrity of financial results in compliance with close timelines.
• Prepare monthly rewards-related management reporting, constantly driving innovation and change.
• Interface with key reporting systems and interaction with technology groups.
• Identify accounting and reporting issues and drive root cause investigation and resolution.
• Work with technology partners, understanding the reporting system.
• Support the maintenance of a robust control environment for E2E Rewards.
• Support projects and business initiatives to ensure Financial and Control. requirements/considerations are addressed.
• Support Global Rewards Policy compliance and execute Account Reviews.
• Ensure compliance with SLA and other internal guidelines of FC policies related to MR. The incumbent will have to analyze and interpret variance to MR Forecast and provide variance commentary.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of work experience in Controllership, Accounting, or Finance with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven analytical skills; knowledge of Rewards or the loyalty industry is a plus.
• Exceptional commitment and proven adherence to quality and accuracy.
• Proven self-leadership supporting critical processes with tight deadlines and high visibility to senior management.
• Proficient knowledge of finance systems and processes.
• Strong communication and relationship skills.
• Transformational mindset.  Strong process improvement and project implementation experience.
• Demonstrated excellent strategic thought and strong analytical skills.
• Understanding of SOX, Operational Risk, and/or Audit.
