Junior Test Engineer Job in Ahmedabad at Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is hiring for the role of Junior Test Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop and maintain test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and identifying any potential gaps.
• Document defects discovered during testing in the bug tracking system, track their status, and ensure timely closure to deliver high-quality results to end-users.
• Communicate testing progress, write accurate test reports in the defined format, and adhere to organizational and project guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and other teams to analyze requirements, resolve software issues, and ensure smooth project execution.
• Create test plans for various types of tests, including regression, system integration, load and performance, and user acceptance tests, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage.
• Perform various testing activities, including smoke testing, functional testing, front-end testing, regression testing, and support client acceptance testing.
• Design and develop automation tests to enhance the scope of regression testing for software releases and products, contributing to more efficient and effective testing processes.
• Analyze defects identified during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), triage occurrences, and capture lessons learned to improve processes in the future.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Honors in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics/Sciences/Commerce or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.
• Testing Knowledge: Proficient in testing phases and approaches, encompassing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to effectively test software, identify bugs, and implement solutions for errors encountered.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with other groups, demonstrating strong communication skills. Effective collaboration with QA, development, and business teams to ensure error-free products.
• Automation Experience: Familiarity with automation tools, including Selenium. Preferred experience in developing automation scripts, providing an added advantage.
