Junior Software Development Engineer Job in Pune at GFK

GFK is hiring for the role of Junior Software Development Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for various software functionalities.
• Analyze test results, and identify and document bugs using a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira).
• Participate in test planning and review sessions, contributing valuable insights.
• Learn and apply basic programming concepts to automate test cases.
• Collaborate effectively with developers and other testers to ensure smooth resolution of identified issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups, actively contributing to the team's success.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
• Driving continuous improvement of testing practices and being a quality champion and testing at all levels.
• Stay informed about the latest software testing tools and methodologies, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Understanding testing principles and processes like manual and automation testing is essential
• A basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is a plus
• Knowledge of Git for version control is also a plus
