Junior Quality Engineer Job in Bangalore at Inphase Power Technologies

Key Responsibilities

1. Incoming Quality Control

• Inspect raw materials, mechanical/electrical components, and sub-assemblies received from suppliers.
• Verify test certificates, dimensional accuracy, material conformance, and visual quality.
• Flag non-conforming items and coordinate with suppliers for corrective actions.
• Record IQC inspection results and maintain traceable documentation.

2. In-Process Quality Control

• Perform quality checks during different stages of assembly (mechanical, electrical, wiring).
• Ensure process parameters and work instructions are followed.
• Identify and report deviations in workmanship, labelling, tightening torque, clearances, etc.
• Support production teams in real-time issue resolution.

3. Final Quality Control

• Conduct visual and functional inspection of finished panels or products.
• Check test reports, product labelling, nameplates, and packaging standards.
• Perform checklist-based inspection and record results.
• Coordinate with dispatch team for quality clearance.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain inspection checklists, defect reports, and test logs
• Assist in preparing Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and SOPs
• Update MIS and QMS records on a regular basis
• Support audit requirements with proper traceability

5. Problem Solving & Improvement:

• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for customer complaints and internal rejections.
• Suggest and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Assist in internal quality audits.

6. Other Responsibilities:

• Calibrate and verify measuring instruments used in inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection tools and documents.
• Participate in safety, 5S, and training initiatives.
• Support customer inspections or third-party audits as needed.

Skills & Competencies:

• Good understanding of quality control processes (IQC, IPQC, FQC)
• Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical drawings and components
• Familiar with measuring tools: Vernier calliper, multimeter, torque wrench, etc.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word)
• Willingness to learn and adapt to fast-paced production environments

Educational Qualification

• BE / B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
