L.E.K. Consulting is hiring for the role of Junior Data and Analytics Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Partnering and supporting members of both consulting support and junior consulting staff on standard D&A tasks that include, but are not limited to: data collection and collaboration, process automation, and data management.
• Building prototypes/tools using Alteryx/Python/SQL to support business decision-making (optimization, forecasting, scenario planning, reporting).
• Building and managing data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations leveraging tools like Tableau/Power BI.
• Supporting junior consulting staff in the usage and subsequent implementation of D&A assets including proprietary analytical tools, datasets, and additional IP.
• Maintaining, researching, and developing new analytical tools, datasets, and IP including analyses that can be redeployed across other projects.
• Contributing to the development of the D&A team through active engagement and relationship development with other team members both locally and globally.
• Demonstrating and continuing to develop an understanding of advanced analytics and data management techniques to further the business and client goals where required.

Requirements:

• Post-graduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, applied mathematics or related fields with an excellent academic record  
• 1-3 years of relevant experience with a top-tier consulting firm  
• 1-2 years of practical work experience building analytical models in data driven projects 
• 1-2 years of experience applying analytical tools and techniques to real world problems, visualising results through tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar 
• At least 1 year of experience with Alteryx, machine learning, programming languages (Python, R), databases (SQL), VBA or cloud applications  
• Good presentation and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex analytical concepts to business stakeholders 
• Basic understanding of business concepts and their practical applications
