Junior Credit Analyst - Financial Services Job in Pune at CRISIL

CRISIL is hiring for the role of Junior Credit Analyst - Financial Services!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• As a member of GAC, you work closely with S&P Global Ratings analysts to monitor and track the performance of a portfolio of credits and transactions within the Financial Institutions and Insurance sector, while responding to credit events in a timely manner.
• You develop and work on proprietary analytical models, including capital models, financial projections, forecasting tools, and stress-case scenarios to assess credit risk.
• You analyze key performance parameters such as balance sheet strength, financial ratios, liquidity, prepayments, defaults, and foreclosures, as applicable.
• You conduct detailed market analysis, including peer comparisons, assessment of industry drivers, evaluation of macroeconomic trends, and analysis of regulatory policies and their implications.
• You apply asset-class-specific and broader credit rating methodologies using a forward-looking analytical approach to assess creditworthiness.
• You draft comprehensive rating rationale reports that clearly articulate analytical conclusions with strong supporting evidence.
• You support S&P Ratings analysts in producing credit ratings by contributing to a wide range of analytical and research activities.
• You collaborate with S&P Global Ratings and research teams across sectors, asset classes, and geographies.
• You monitor the financial environment, including macroeconomic developments and sector or asset class performance trends.
• You build strong working relationships with global clients through analytical discussions, presentations, conceptual training, and continuous learning.
• You participate in rating committees and discussion forums related to companies, transactions, and key market events, and contribute to periodic and thematic research publications.
• You develop an in-depth understanding of the sector and asset classes by studying product structures, rating processes, and financial markets.
