Malabar Group is hiring for the role of Junior Barcoding Executive!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Generate and assign barcodes for all new products as per Malabar Group standards.
• Ensure accurate tagging of jewellery, gold, diamonds, gemstones, and other inventory items.
• Verify barcode details such as SKU, weight, purity, category, and pricing before finalization.
• Reprint or replace damaged, incorrect, or missing barcodes.
• Update product details in the ERP/Inventory Management System.
• Cross-check barcode data with physical items to avoid mismatches or duplication.
• Maintain barcoding logs, daily tracking reports, and item-wise documentation.
• Coordinate with store and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure barcodes meet Malabar brand guidelines, quality standards, and format specifications.
• Conduct periodic audits to identify barcode errors or discrepancies.
• Support compliance by ensuring correct tagging before products reach the sales floor.
• Work closely with the merchandising, operations, and logistics teams for smooth product movement.
• Assist in stock counting, product verification, and system updates during audits.
• Provide support during new product launches, festival stock preparation, and high-volume periods.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on barcoding activities and pending items.
• Report any inconsistencies or product data issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain proper documentation for barcodes issued, corrected, or replaced.
