Junior Accountant Job in Thiruvananthapuram at Zafin

Zafin is hiring for the role of Junior Accountant!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Ensure adherence to Special Economic Zone (SEZ) regulations related to financial and tax compliance.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for SEZ-related filings, including Procurement filings, SOFTEX forms, LUT filings, and SEZ monthly/annual reports.
• Assist in coordinating with auditors and government authorities for SEZ compliance.
• Process and manage vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in GST compliance and ensure timely input tax credit reconciliations.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and track payments efficiently.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in month-end closing activities.
• Use Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables,  etc.) for financial analysis and reporting.
• Support internal audits by providing financial data and documentation
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and global stakeholders.
• Coordinate with international finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment or compliance-related queries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to SEZ compliance and accounts payable in an IT company.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting tools.
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a growth mindset.
• Experience working with global teams is an added advantage.
